About My Art
I have always held a passion for nature, and my initial immersion into the natural environment of Belize went hand in hand with an appreciation of Belize’s mix of cultures, which are so intricately linked. I remain captivated by both. As a sentimental artist wishing to express and nurture this wonder, the natural beauty and cultures of Belize are the main inspirations and dominant subjects for my art.
My paintings are basically a celebration of life, and specifically the beauty of Belize.
I strive to retain the realistic nature of all my subjects through close observation and attention to detail, and hope to continually improve upon my understanding of art techniques through practice, and experimentation. It is my dream that one day my art can assist in some way with the protection of Belize’s treasures. For now, however, I am happy if they spark an interest in, and appreciation of, the natural and cultural beauty around us, which we so often take for granted.
