A Good Time.

From the minute we started the drive away from the port, we knew we were in for a good time. The driver (can't remember his name, darn it!) gave us some of the history of Belize and kept up a good bit of conversation all the way to the river. When we got there, he let us know that he was staying with the van while we were tubing, so we could safely leave things in it (which was a big relief). The tubing itself was awesome! The water was a little chilly (but was definitely refreshing after the half-hour walk through the jungle), and it moved a little slowly, which made for a nice, leisurely ride. Afterwards, the traditional rice-beans-chicken lunch was absolutely delicious, and everyone was asking for more of the muffins they made for dessert!

Too bad we only had one afternoon for this, but it made us want to return to Belize to spend more time...and come back to Coral Breeze for more fun! Thanks!
